Oak Before Ash

There’s a Devonian saying which goes ”Oak before Ash, prepare for a splash. Ash before Oak, prepare for a soak”. Well judging by the number of Oaks in full leaf at the moment and the twiggy Ash trees, we could be in for a good summer.
Snapped on the banks of the River Torridge this oak was just begging to be snapped.
